Description

Akamalik is a state-of-the-art shrimp trawler built in 2001 for the Greenland-based Royal Greenland A/S, specifically designed for highly efficient shrimp harvesting and processing operations.

The vessel is equipped with a powerful onboard processing plant featuring IQF belt freezers with a capacity of 70 tonnes of shrimp per day, complemented by a refrigerated hold with a volume of 1,792 m³ for palletized product storage.

Measuring 75.8 metres in length and 14.5 metres in beam, Akamalik incorporates an advanced propulsion arrangement powered by a 4,860 kW main engine, incorporating a modern propulsion system with shaft generator, optimizing energy efficiency.
