Draco

Draco is a state-of-the-art freezer tuna purse seiner built in 2006 for Mar de Las Antillas N.V., based in the Netherlands Antilles.

Her cargo hold capacity is 2,593 m³, and her freezing plant can handle 200 tonnes of fish per day, complemented by a 5 tonnes per day freezing tunnel.

Measuring 95.7 metres in length and 15.20 metres in beam, Draco incorporates an advanced propulsion system powered by a 6,000 kW main engine, a variable-pitch propeller system, and a 1,200 kW shaft generator to optimize operational efficiency.

Its outfit is complemented by a robust electrical plant, hydraulic winches, and a comprehensive fishing gear package, positioning the vessel among the most modern and productive tuna purse seiners in its class.
