Markus is a state-of-the-art shrimp trawler built in 2019 for Qajaq Trawl & Polar Seafood of Greenland. The vessel is specifically designed for highly efficient shrimp harvesting and processing operations.
It is equipped with a powerful onboard processing plant featuring four IQF belt freezers with a combined capacity of 100 tons per day, as well as two automatic horizontal plate freezers providing an additional 25 tons per day. The refrigerated hold offers a storage capacity of 2,265 m³ for palletized product.
Measuring 80.8 meters in length and 17 meters in beam, Markus incorporates an advanced propulsion system powered by a 5,400 kW Bergen main engine, combined with a Promas propulsion arrangement and a hybrid shaft generator, optimizing energy efficiency and reducing emissions.
