B.A.P. Carrasco is a 95-metre scientific and logistical platform with accommodation for 110 people, built for the Marina de Guerra del Perú (MGP).
Carrasco has been designed for navigation in Antarctic waters with Polar Class PC7 notation. She features diesel-electric propulsion and complies with DP2 dynamic positioning, AP-3 redundant propulsion, and Silent-A low radiated noise standards. The vessel has an endurance of 51 days and is equipped with eight specialized laboratories, advanced sampling and survey systems (including multibeam echosounders, CTD, Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), and Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs)), as well as a helicopter flight deck and hangar, auxiliary boats, and full logistical support base capability.
