Falkor (Too) is a spectacular oceanographic research vessel resulting from a complex conversion of our former flagship, Polar Queen. Delivered to the philanthropic Schmidt Ocean Institute (SOI), dedicated to advancing ocean exploration, the vessel offers, with an overall length of 110.6 metres, some of the most advanced capabilities currently available for conducting virtually any type of scientific expedition, while providing the highest standards of comfort for crew and scientists.
It features 200 square metres of laboratory space, a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) capable of operating at depths of up to 4,500 metres, a multibeam sonar system for seabed mapping, CTD sampling equipment, a helideck, and many other advanced functionalities.
