Almostakshif

Our NB-719 (“ALMOSTAKSHIF”) is a 55.58m length multipurpose Oceanographic Research Vessel designed for operation in the Arabian Gulf, Arabian Sea, and Red Sea. The ship accommodates a crew of 15 people and 13 scientists and complies with the rules and regulations of the Kuwait Flag State and Det Norske Veritas, including the comfort DP1 class notation DYNPOS-AUT among others.

The propulsion system consists of two variable pitch propellers directly driven by two diesel engines. The NB-719 is fitted with numerous systems to support its multi-role activities: a deck crane of suitable capacity, an A-Frame and side gantries, electronic nets, a CTD rosette, a piston corer, grabs, scuba diving equipment, a ROV, and a wide range of hydroacoustic systems such as ADCP, multibeam echosounder, side scan sonar, and a sub-bottom profiler.
