Coming into force of two ship building contracts for the construction of two stern trawlers

Freire shipyard starts the construction of two stern trawlers ordered by qajaq trawl and polar seafood (greenland)

Last October, Freire Shipyard put into force the contracts to build two 80 mts. long stern trawlers especially designed for catching shrimps in arctic waters.

The two vessels are alike and will be designed by Rolls Royce Marine, who will also supply the main equipment. The design will particularly take into consideration operational efficiency, low emissions, crew comfort and strong seakeeping capabilities.

The first vessel (NB715) will be delivered to Qajaq Trawl in 24 months, whereas the second vessel (NB716) will be delivered to Polar Seafood in 30 months.
